In 2007, The Merciful Grace Center was just a thought between two women, Diane Cordova, and Leticia Mercado. As young girls, they had witnessed domestic violence in their personal lives as well in other families and friends. The fact that they were witnessing others that were silently suffering, they formed a non-profit organization to assist those that would need help.
Nine years later, March of 2016, Diane knew it was time to move forward, #GO with, “The Merciful Grace Center.” Diane reached out to Leticia Mercado and Carmen Marshall, with much research and discussions, they found that the primary needs across the State of Arizona are for housing and childcare. They knew, without a doubt this mission was God lead. All three women agreed it was time to open up the doors and create a place where they could assist those going through difficult situations. They made a commitment to give them hope, life, healing and prosperity!
In order to fund their mission, in providing transitional emergency shelter, legal assistance, and counseling, a resale shop called, a “hand UP” was opened in March 2016. Our shop is a means of raising monies to fulfill our mission through donations of household items and also through monetary donations.
To work towards the freedom of domestic violence against women and their children by providing emergency and support services for the victims and survivors of domestic violence.
We envision a world in which every person lives in a safe environment, free from oppression and with the opportunity to thrive.
Giving hope, life, healing and prosperity.
To purchase housing which will provide a safe haven for women and their families. The ability to assist women with life skills, hands-on experience and prepare them to find employment.
